The exhibition will take place from Good Friday, March 21 [1 to 4.30 pm] to Easter Monday, March 24 [10.30 am to 4.30 pm].
Two of the artists taking part in the four-day exhibition are Annie Morris and Jenny Brooks.
Bristol University graduate and a member of the Society of Botanical Artists, Annie Morris, paints in watercolour and many of her paintings have been reproduced as prints and cards.
Miniature portrait painter, Jenny Brooks, RMS, SWA, HS, combines her commissioned studio work with teaching fine art, miniature and botanical painting and drawing in adult education in the southwest.
Members of the public will also have the opportunity to visit the Botanic Garden over the Easter weekend from 10 am to 4.30 pm, when it opens its doors for the first time in 2008.
New planting and landscaping over the closed season, together with the opening of the glasshouse Tropical Zone is transforming the garden, which opened to the public in 2006.
The garden has been designed with a strong evolutionary theme with four core collections: Evolution, Rare and Threatened Natives, Mediterranean Plants and Useful Plants. Laid out in distinctive displays, the garden includes an Evolution Dell of ancient plants, modern approaches to flowering plant families and groupings, contrasting Chinese and European medicinal herb areas and a brand new Mediterranean landscape garden.
Nick Wray, Botanic Garden Curator, said: “There are going to be some wonderful botanical paintings and drawings on display at the exhibition.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to the garden over the Easter weekend. There are lots of interesting plants to see, and Spring is such a great time to come and explore the garden.”
