New postdoc Latin Fellowship for Bristol Institute

The Bristol Institute of Greece, Rome and the Classical Tradition has been awarded €200,000 by the Cassamarca Foundation to fund a Junior Postdoctoral Fellowship.

The Bristol Institute of Greece, Rome and the Classical Tradition has been awarded €200,000 over five years by the Cassamarca Foundation to fund a Junior Postdoctoral Fellowship.

The Foundation, which is based in Treviso, Italy, describes the Bristol Institute, which was founded in 2000 by Professor Robert Fowler, as ‘one of the most important initiatives in England for the development of studies of the Graeco-Roman world and the classical tradition’. The new fellowship is to be called 'The Cassamarca Foundation Fellowship in Latin Language and Literature and its Reception'.
