Keith Dix

23 August 2006

Keith Dix, formerly of Site Services, died in July.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of the University first-aiders and paramedics, he could not be revived and Keith was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Keith commenced with Site Services in November 2002 after taking redundancy from Courage’s Avonmouth base. There are two things that stand out about Keith in relation to his work at the University. First, even though he had only worked here for four years, it felt as if he had always been a member of the team. Second, he was extremely hard-working and conscientious and never missed a day.

Keith was truly liked by all. He was a very positive individual who loved his family and life in general, always cheerful and always happy to give a helping hand. He was also part of the infamous Monday Club and will surely be missed by all his former colleagues at Courage who meet in the pub after work on a Monday.

Our condolences go to his wife, Celia, and children, Mark, Darren and Sarah. As one of his colleagues said, “We won’t get another Keith”, which speaks volumes about the esteem in which Keith was held by all his friends and colleagues here at the University.
