Politics scores 23 in Subject Review


The Department of Politics achieved the excellent score of 23 out of 24 in its Subject Review held on Thursday 19 October.

The Department scored the maximum score of 4 in: Curriculum Design, Content and Organisation; Teaching, Learning and Assessment; Student Progression and Achievement; Student Support and Guidance; Quality Management and Enhancement, and a score of 3 in Learning Resources.

Professor Terrell Carver, Head of Department, said: 'This was an extremely positive experience for all of us especially the one to one observations of teaching with feedback from the reviewers. The Department is looking forward to a curriculum review in early 2001 and this was the best possible preparation.'

Gill Clarke, Director of the Teaching Support Unit, said: 'The team worked amazingly hard and deserve this excellent result.'
