AI in Precision Psychiatry

2 May 2024, 12.00 PM - 2 May 2024, 2.00 PM

Room 3.30, Wills Memorial Building, Queens Road, Bristol, BS8 1QE

The Elizabeth Blackwell Institute is organising a series of workshops to explore applications of AI in health research in a range of contexts. The workshops will present an opportunity to learn about research and expertise in AI in health across disciplines and explore opportunities for new collaborations with a view to enhancing capacity to develop ideas for and apply for major grants. It will also be an opportunity for you to develop ideas for projects intending to make future use of Isambard AI.

This interdisciplinary workshop will bring together colleagues at Bristol and Cardiff Universities with an interest in AI in health, to discuss application of AI in the field of mental health, especially for people with psychotic disorders. It will include discussion of ethical, legal, and social implications, data quality and privacy, human-AI interaction, and clinical validation.

The workshop is open to all colleagues in the University of Bristol with an interest and/or expertise in AI and mental health as well as colleagues in the NHS and other organisations. We particularly welcome participation of social scientists and ethicists, data scientists and experts in machine learning or other colleagues whose AI-related skills could be applied to the area of mental health.

Participation is free and a light lunch will be served.
