It takes a village: research showcase event

Hosted by the University of Bristol's Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group

A research showcase and engagement event for professional staff at the University of Bristol.

About this event
Non-academic staff are vital in the research process. As academics, we could not do our research without the support and dedication of other staff members, whether that's HR staff who help us to employ high quality researchers, or members of the ethics committee who ensure that the data we use is being stored and processed correctly, or the cleaners who help to make our offices and laboratories a safe and tidy place to work!

In this event, we wish to thank those who have helped us do our research, and showcase the role that our extended team (professional services, maintenance, HR etc.!) play in the research process.

On the day, there will be interactive stalls that cover a variety of topics within the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group's remit. Such as emotion, the effects of alcohol, e-cigarette and tobacco use, and more! We want to engage attendees via one-to-one chats, and hands-on activities that we hope will be interesting and informative.

Lunch will be provided on the day for free, you will need to present an E-ticket for this. If you do not need/want lunch, then you are very welcome to attend without a ticket.
