The workshop will run from 11am - 12:30pm, with a light lunch served afterwards. Be prepared to engage in small group discussions with fellow attendees, and to think creatively about the ideas of responsible research across academic disciplines. You don't need to be an expert to attend - anyone with research experience and ideas on what it means to do responsible research is invited. We will mainly focus on academic research, but also welcome views from commercial or other research areas.
When we say 'responsible research,' we don't simply mean safety of technological innovations. We see 'responsible research' as a broad concept, which may encompass: both the process of how research is done and its products; both moral and epistemological aspects (more on that later!); activities, people and norms; and both practical and conceptual dimensions.
This is part of a larger project on responsible research. If you are interested in this concept and want to be more involved, you can sign up to take part in surveys, interviews and more, here: tinyurl.com/RRCoP
