Fellowship Bootcamp for the Faculties of Health and LIfe Sciences

Hosted by the Research and Enterprise Division, this bootcamp support early career researchers from the Faculties of Health Sciences (FHS) and Life Sciences (FLS) in applying for their first externally-funded fellowship.

What does it involve?
The Fellowship Bootcamp Programme, now in its sixth year, brings together an interdisciplinary cohort of future fellowship candidates for information and training sessions tailored to applying for fellowship awards to be held at UoB. These sessions provide in-depth support to candidates in raising awareness of fellowship funding options and preparing them for future fellowship applications, including;

  • Defining what is a fellowship, how it differs from other grants and why you should apply for one, and funder-specific advice delivered by the Research Development team;
  • An explanation of the application and submission process, and who can help;
  • Finance overview and how to cost your project;
  • Hearing from current fellows and getting top tips from funder panel members;
  • An opportunity to network with peers.
