This event is open to new Principal Investigators (PI) or those wishing to take their first steps into being a PI, and is aimed at those in the West of England region, which comprises the City of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and part of Wiltshire.
The session will include:
- Understanding the PI’s responsibilities in leading the conduct of a study at a research site
- Recognising what makes an effective PI and the importance of effective leadership in study identification, set-up, recruitment and conduct
- Understanding and reflect on the skills and behaviours required to be an effective PI
- Knowing how to access support: you are not alone, help and support is available
