Bristol Bio-hackathon 2022
location to be announced
Hosted by the Centre for Digital Health and Care, University of Bristol
Hack your health at the Bristol Bio-hackathon this year!
You’re probably wearing a watch that monitors your sleep cycles, carrying a phone that knows how many steps you’ve taken, and attending lectures in rooms that monitor air quality automatically. All the sensors on and around us collect data that can provide insights into our health and wellbeing. How can we make the best use of these data? How can we use our bio-data to take ownership of our own health and wellbeing? How can we solve these problems while eating pizza?
No matter your background or course of study, come join us on a journey of learning and discovery into the possibilities of what you can do with your own bio-data. No prior experience necessary!
The Bristol Bio-hackathon brings together people from different backgrounds to hack their own health. You will be working in groups with people studying psychology, engineering, medicine, economics, neurosciences, computer science and more…
The winning bio-hackers take home £1000, with other prizes including £500 and £300. Everyone gets free pizza, coffee and snacks!
Vegan, vegetarian, and halal options will be available, gluten free and other allergens upon request!
The Bio-hackathon is open to all students. Register for your free ticket to join
