The main goal of this international workshop, sponsored by Trinity College and the US National Institute on Drug Abuse, is to bring together the most recent advances in the study of engrams and neuronal ensembles in learning and memory research. Speakers will describe their work using calcium imaging and in vivo electrophysiology to record ensemble activity during behavior, transgenic mice and rats to manipulate neuronal ensembles and engrams to identify their roles in learning and memory, and the latest findings for long-lasting molecular and cellular engram alterations that underlie long-term memories.
The Scientific Program will include 22 speakers and plenary lectures by leading experts in this exciting rapidly growing field.
