Linkages Between Violence Against Children, Particularly Against Girls, and Climate Change

Hosted by World Vision, ODI and the Global Partnership to End Violence to mark CSW66 (Commission on the Status of Women: Climate Change - Environment Disaster Risk Reduction) taking place 14-25 March 2022.

This event will highlight the connection between climate change and violence against children, in particular, girls. The effects of climate change such as water scarcity, wildfires, floods, and more can result in girls losing their education, being forced into child marriage, and other forms of violence.  Panelists will provide experience on the issue as well as policy recommendations.
