Associative Learning Symposium (XXVII)
Keynote: Professor Andrew Delamater (Brooklyn College, City University of New York)
Gregynog Hall, Tregynon, Nr Newtown, Powys SY16 3PL
Hosted by Cardiff University
Call for abstracts
Papers can be on any topic of relevance to the study of associative learning and animal cognition. Contributions from postgraduate students will be particularly welcome. There will also be a poster session for participants who prefer to introduce their work in this format. In preparing presentations, talks are typically scheduled for 20 minutes (plus 5min questions), and posters should be formatted to A1 size (ideally in portrait orientation).
Registration
If you would like to attend the symposium, please complete and return the registration form (gregynog-reg-form (Office document, 29kB) by December 16th, 2022. Abstracts of about 150 words should be sent at the same time if you are proposing a presentation. Please email your registration form and (if applicable) abstract to associative-learning-symposium@cardiff.ac.uk.
For payment, Cardiff’s accounting systems means that we are required to send an invoice for the cost of attendance to all participants - this will either be a “personal” invoice directly to you, or an invoice to your institution (please give the appropriate details on the registration form). Payments will be processed after the registration deadline. Please note, unlike in the past, we will not be able to accept cash payments, or any card/cheque payment that is not linked to an invoice.
Accommodation
Gregynog Hall has only 45 bedrooms. If we are to accommodate more than this number (maximum 86), as we have done in the past, then it will be necessary for some (typically postgraduate students) to share rooms containing two or more beds. The cost of registration – which includes accommodation with all meals at Gregynog – will be £430, except for postgraduate students, for whom the cost will be £295.
