On Saturday 11th April, the University of Bristol Symphonic Winds travelled to Manchester to take part in the finals of the National Concert Band Festival 2026 at the Royal Northern College of Music. They won a platinum award for their performance of Viskamol Chaiwanichsiri's ensemble mecanique and the wind band classic Cartoon by Paul Hart. Alongside this, they also won an award for the most diverse and unique programme of music. Many congratulations to Symphonic Winds and their conductor Jake Wingfield on this fantastic achievement!
