For the full academic year 2025-26, we will welcome a visiting scholar in the Music Department, funded by the China Scholarship Council. Yuqin Zhang is associate professor in the School of Art, Jingchu University of Technology. 

Professor Zhang researches music education and traditional music, especially concentrating on the collection and collation of traditional songs in the Jingchu region. She has worked with rural primary schools to carry out the Aesthetic Education Infiltration Action Plan for Rural Schools in the region. During her visit, she will present a public research seminar in the music department, as well as being actively involved in other departmental research activities.
