We are delighted to announce that our PhD composition student, Lia Su, is one of three selected Composer Fellows for the international Intimacy of Creativity festival in Hong Kong next month. The festival includes a week of close rehearsal and development with high calibre performers, led by composer Bright Sheng, ending in the public premiere, recording and broadcast of her work Recurring Dream.
Lia SU’s work frequently deals with the relationship between listening, music, and space. Working across sound, music, and installation to explore ideas surrounding cross-cultural, gender, and post-digital identity.
