LMS Annual General Meeting and Naylor Lecture 2024

The 2024 Naylor Lecture is to be given by Professor Jens Eggers.

The Naylor Prize and lectureship in Applied Mathematics is a prize of the London Mathematical Society awarded every two years in memory of Dr V.D. Naylor. Previous Prize winners include James Lighhill, Roger Penrose, Michael Berry, and Stephen Hawking.

Professor Jens Eggers’ talk is entitled ‘The role of singularities in hydrodynamics’, and explores events like the formation of a drop, or the propagation of a shock wave.

The lecture is taking place in BMA House, in London on 22 November, 3.00-6.30pm. The LMS welcome both members and non-members, and attendance is both in-person and online. For anyone who wishes to attend, please visit the event page for the full-programme and registration form.
