Societies

The School of Mathematics has its own student society: Matrix.  Matrix has around 600 members who are studying or have a keen interest in Mathematics. The society is run by an executive committee of 10 people and exists to provide its members with free barbecues, free food and drink at networking events, and subsidised social events.

The University of Bristol Students Union has a wide variety of affiliated societies which may be of interest to you.  You can find out more information on the Bristol SU website.

Organisations such as the Royal Statistical Society and Institute of Mathematics and its Applications also offer student memberships.
