All are invited to join Vice-Chancellor Professor Hugh Brady, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost Professor Judith Squires, and the International Research Partnerships (IRP) team for the virtual launch of Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng’s Bristol Illustrious Visiting Professorship (BIVP).
Through this year-long appointment Professor Phakeng will be engaging with our academic community and executive leadership team to identify and develop opportunities for collaborative research, strategic partnerships, and mutual learning at both individual and institutional levels. Professor Phakeng has been appointed as the first ever BIVP in recognition of her exceptional and inspirational work in university leadership and in mathematics education in post-apartheid South Africa.
There are two ticket options available via the link below. Staff and students of the Univeristy of Bristol and the University of Cape Town have the opportunity to join th zoom webinar, the event will also be livestreamed in order to make it available to everyone outside of these two institutions.
