Welcome to Professor Vanessa Northington Gamble from The George Washington University, USA

Professor Gamble is visting Bristol as a Benjamin Meaker Distinguished Visiting Professor and will be here from the 19th February to the 29th March.

Professor Gamble is an internationally recognised expert on the history of race and American medicine, health equity, and bioethics. Professor Gamble will be collaborating with Dr Stephen Mawdsley in the Department of History and other colleagues in the American Studies Research Group on The Historical Implications of American Race and Medicine.
