Professor Rickles will provide an introduction to the key topics in the physics and philosophy of information suitable for 3rd year, master’s and PhD students in philosophy, physics and computer science.
Professor Dean Rickles is a Professor of History and Philosophy of Modern Physics at the University of Sydney, where he also serves as a Co-Director of the university’s interdisciplinary Centre of Time. He is visiting Bristol as a Benjamin Meaker Distinguished Visiting Professor and collaborating with Dr Karim Thebault in the Department of Philosophy on the project Philosophy of Digital Physics.
