Professor Elisabeth J Cooper is visting Bristol to collaborate with Dr Christopher Williamson in Geographical Sciences on the project Arctic snow-microbial-plant interactions in a changing climate. Professor Cooper will deliver a public lecture from the University's Botanic Gardens, focusing on the flora of the archipelago of Svalbard, Europe’s Northernmost islands, where the sun doesn’t set for 4 months each summer and doesn’t rise for 4 months each winter. This talk is open to everyone, with plenty of pictures of arctic plants.
