Professor Salvador Ivorra

Professor Salvador Ivorra is a Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Alicante's Department of Civil Engineering, where he is Head of the Department. Since 2018 he is also the Coordinator of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Spanish Research Agency. His research activities have been focused on the dynamic behaviour of structures and structural retrofitting, and he has devoted an important part of his research on mechanistic models for historical structures.

Professor Ivorra will be present the following two case studies:

  • Seismic retrofitting of masonry chimney with Textile Reinforced Mortars. Effect of foundation retrofit on the dynamic properties.
  • Fatigue damage on a 100 years old railway bridge. Sensing and Monitoring. Issues
