Programme
We are delighted that in the morning Professors Francesco Paneni and Tom Johnson will give two research talks, and Professor Jules Hancox will share considerations on career progression. In the afternoon, Professor Andrew Taylor, Director of Innovation at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, will share his views on innovating in cardiovascular research.
Early career researcher / PhD presentations
There will also be five sessions showcasing the research carried out in the BHI. These offer a fantastic opportunity for 25 PhD students or early career researchers to present their work (five participants per session). If you are keen to share your research, you will only need to give a 5-minute presentation supported by the visual aid of your choice (either slides or a visual abstract). The 25 presenters will selected on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be prizes for the best presentations according to participants' votes!
Please register if you want to present: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/E04MTT/
You can choose from five different sessions, each chaired by a clinical fellow or a researcher:
- Epidemiological research
- Basic research 1 (translational projects)
- Basic research 2 (in vitro, in silico, cell culture, animal models)
- Clinical research 1 (translational projects)
- Clinical research 2 (therapeutics and surgery)
Please register your interest in presenting by 4 November 2021 so we can finalise the programme.
