Infection, Inflammation and Immunotherapy away day

The I3 (Infection, Inflammation and Immunotherapy) community at Bristol Veterinary School is hosting an away day, where we will have a series of research presentations by various speakers. This includes presentations from I3 community members (students, postdocs and PIs) and also invited external speakers.

Plenary speakers:

  • Dr John Tregoning (Reader in Respiratory Infections, Imperial College London): Inflammation in vaccines and infection: it’s (even) more complex than we think
  • Dr Tim Jenkins (Assistant Professor, Technical University of Denmark): From Pigs to Snakes: Overcoming Disease with antibodies and AI Technology

We will also have short talks from young and early career investigators.

The invitation to attend the I3 away day is open to everyone from all research communities and has been extended to various University schools and the Infection and Immunity Network (I&I). We also welcome clinical involvement, so if you're a practitioner with an interest in research, we would love to see you attend. Throughout the day, there will be regular breaks, designed to encourage new collaborations and hopefully initiate conversations that lead to research and grant opportunities.

If you are a PI, grad student or postdoc and would like to present a talk, and potentially find exciting collaborations within the I3 community, this would be an excellent opportunity.

For further information, or to attend, please contact Dr Jamie Mann (jamie.mann@bristol.ac.uk) or Dr Laura Peachey (laura.peachey@bristol.ac.uk) or Dr Ian Cadby (ian.cadby@bristol.ac.uk). We encourage anyone interested to contact us as soon as possible as the space is limited. Numbers are required for catering purposes.

The away day will be held in Langford and is easily accessible using the U2 Bus service from Queens Road. The trip is ~35min one way.
