Genomic diversity of Escherichia coli in the vertebrate gut: A West-African perspective

A meeting of the I3 (Infection, Inflammation and Immunotherapy) community at Bristol Veterinary School.

Ebenn is a Research Fellow in Professor Kathryn Holt's group at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. His current research involves undertaking high-quality computational genomics-based research to elucidate the genetic determinants of AMR and virulence in Klebsiella pneumonia and contributing to research aimed at improving phenotype prediction from genotypic data to enhance genomic surveillance AMR and virulence in K. pneumoniae. Read more about his published works here: https://bit.ly/3p2slam.

In this presentation, Ebenn explores the potential of whole-genome sequencing to unravel transmission patterns and the spread of pathogens, AMR, and virulence traits to enhance our understanding of the evolution and spread of bacterial pathogens using E. coli as a test case.
