Following on from the lecture on ethics and aesthetics of migrant theatre initiatives, this workshop looks at migrant perspectives on the grounds of theatre-making. The discussion will centre around performative practices and dramaturgical processes by which aesthetics of migration and refugedom are being produced. We will look at examples from both contemporary theatre and popular culture to map some of the key concepts and approaches employed in migrant theatre and refugee performance today.
