To comply with the UKVI sponsor licence please be reminded there are set of responsibilities required by the sponsored visa holder:
Attendance Monitoring
As part of our compliance responsibilities, we are required to monitor the attendance of sponsored workers. A Sponsored Workers Attendance Monitoring Tool has been designed to make it easier for sponsored workers to log their attendance. Using this tool is essential for legal compliance under our sponsor licence obligations.
All the guidance, training and access to the tool - including how to log attendance activity (annual leave, sickness absence, leave without pay, conference attendance, site visit, TOIL, remote working, suspension, authorised unpaid absence, other not covered in this list), update or delete existing records, and keep your attendance history up to date can be found on the Sponsored Workers Attendance Monitoring Tool.
Home address history
This needs to be recorded in the sponsored visa holders employment record. This can be recorded by the sponsored visa holder using the sponsored visa holder's address details form which can be accessed by them logging into MyERP, using myerp.bris.ac.uk/agresso/
Navigate to forms>Sponsored Visa Holder's Address Details.
To check the address details are up to date, the sponsored visa holder should navigate to MyDetails>MyDetails>My Personal Details> then click on the Spon Visa Address Details tab.
Please note, with any change of address there is also the requirement to overwrite the home address field in the contact details section on ERP to ensure that any University correspondence goes to the correct most up to date address.
Hybrid Working
We inform the Home Office if a sponsored visa holder is on a hybrid working pattern. If this pattern changes after the issue of the Certificate of Sponsorship, please send an email to the Staff Immigration Team and include the work locations address and the percentage split e.g. 50% Augustine's Courtyard, 50% home address.
Support for Visa Holders course
As part of our commitment to new international staff and our sponsor licence with the Home Office we have created a course that will support visa holders as you begin your career with the University. Details of the course can be found through Develop by logging into Develop and then searching under 'visa' once you have commenced your role at the University. The course is an essential tool in your induction programme, and you should register and complete in the first four weeks of your employment where possible. The course is compulsory if you are on a sponsored Skilled Worker visa.
