5 June 2014

ACCIS CDT students Laura Edwards and Rafael Luterbacher make it through to the finals of the Bristol Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition

Congratulations to third year ACCIS CDT PhD students Laura Edwards and Rafael Luterbacher on making it through to the finals of the Bristol Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.

3MT is a national competition that challenges students to give an engaging and accessible summary of their PhD research in just three minutes. By taking part, researchers not only get to increase awareness of their research but also develop valuable presentation and communication skills.

The Bristol finals will be held on Friday 6th June, 2-3pm, in the Anson Rooms (Richmond Building), Bristol.  To find out more about this unique competition and to register for tickets please see the University news item 'Researchers reveal all at Bristol 3MT finals'.

The Bristol winner will compete in the national semi-finals in July. Six candidates will then be chosen to compete in the UK final to be held at the Vitae conference in September 2014.
