Summer Internship Schemes

We work with companies and the Faculty to create a range of summer internships, exclusive for engineering and computer science students at the University of Bristol.

Our ILO internship scheme enables students to gain invaluable experience in industry, 6-12 week opportunities to apply learning, develop skills and enhance CVs. As an exclusive scheme, only University of Bristol engineering and computer science students are eligible to apply; less competition and more personal contact compared to company-based equivalents.

Notably, we manage the scheme from start to finish: providing application guidance, application acknowledgement, on campus interviews for UK-based opportunities and feedback regardless of the outcome. We provide a consistent level of support throughout, helping students to develop their industrial experience ready for graduation and beyond.

Alternatively, students can gain experience in an academic setting through the Faculty internship scheme. As above, Faculty internships are exclusive and last 6-12 weeks. While we're hoping to continue this scheme in 2020, we've not yet had discussions regarding funding and application processes. We'll update this page once these have been decided.

For more information on either scheme please get in touch using the details on this page, we look forward to hearing from you!
