In this seminar for teachers, we welcome Daniela Schmidt, a Professor in the School of Earth Science at the University of Bristol and member of the Cabot Institute for the Environment.

Abstract:

This is the second in a series of subject knowledge enhancement sessions for teachers. This session will give teachers an opportunity to extend their knowledge about climate science, explore and engage with climate science websites and interactive tools, and give guidance of where to access information. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and consider how these resources can be used in lessons. It is suitable for anyone who teaches young people about climate change, from KS3 – KS5.

Biography:

Daniela has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in climate science – she is a Coordinating Lead Author on the IPCC’s Impact, Adaptation and Vulnerability report and is involved in Waves of Change, a youth project giving young people a voice in climate change.
