We are pleased to welcome Professor Matthew Watson for his Inaugural Lecture on: Telegrams from the Earth’s interior (or snapchat from the conduit if you’re under twenty).
Abstract
Active volcanoes are inherently dangerous and often inaccessible. Remote sensing technologies afford volcanologists a unique synoptic perspective with which to investigate physical processes and hazards. In this Inaugural Lecture, Professor Watson will detail the technologies he has worked on, the scientific insights they have provided and the fun he has had had along the way.
Attendance is free, booking required via Eventbrite.
