1. Review & use evidence-based documentation to formulate relevant treatment plans with the aid of case studies for the non-responding periodontal patient 

2. Recognise effective instruments for ‘Professional Mechanical Plaque Removal’ and describe instrument features  

3. Identify successful techniques with a variety of hand & mechanical instruments for the treatment & maintenance of advanced periodontal disease  

4. Demonstrate a safe sharpening technique for different periodontal instruments
