The board was created by Lara Lalemi and Fred Manby in late 2019 to create a prominent focal point for future generation role models. It is located in a prominent location within the University, near to some of the busiest lecture theatres meaning thousands of students and staff see the board every week.
The scientists celebrated have already achieved a great deal in their careers to date, with their fantastic achievements ranging from understanding the function of dinosaur skulls to leading advocacy for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups within STEM, to developing materials for developing countries.
