Chemical and Synthetic Biology Research Theme Seminar - Prof. Jim Naismith

Chemical and Synthetic Biology Research Theme Seminar

Speaker: Professor Jim Naismith, University of Oxford / Director of the Rosalind Franklin Institute

Title: Neutralising Spike with nanobodies; structural and biophysical analysis

Abstract: The Franklin has made progress in developing high throughput technologies to block covid19 infection with nanobodies. I will review the work to date, emphasising the role physical organic chemistry plays in measuring and understanding affinity. I will show how these insights might be used to obtain improvements in affinity.

Academic Host: Dr Fabio Parmeggiani
