Many people facing cancer, either as a patient or a carer, will unfortunately also be experiencing domestic abuse.
Cancer professionals are a key, trusted point of contact for these people. With the right knowledge and confidence on the issue they can be a vital step in offering people a safe time and place to disclose about abuse, and safely signpost to domestic abuse support.
This new toolkit, launching at the end of March, is designed to help healthcare professionals to both identify and respond to signs of domestic abuse within their patients and carers. Join us for its virtual launch to learn more about this issue, hear from two lived experience voices and be introduced to the toolkit and how to use it.
