STEM Intercultural Mingle 2023 (UG and PG students)

Hosted by the Faculties of Life Sciences, Science and Engineering

An exciting opportunity for students to meet people from all over the world, enjoy food from international cuisines and take part in fun activities!

Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) community is very diverse. However, we understand that many students, especially in their first and second year, find it difficult to locate others with similar backgrounds or cultures to their own, as well as find opportunities to meet students from other cultures. In response to this, there will be an event (instigated by the Schools for Physics and Engineering) for students from the Faculties of Life Sciences, Science and Engineering to encourage students from all backgrounds to come together, make friends and share their cultures whilst enjoying delicious food.

There will be a delicious food menu available from Bristol-based organisation 91 Ways, who will be on hand to educate you about the cultural and historical significance of their dishes. Many great Bristol societies will be in attendance to share what they do, including demonstrations and performances. There will also be a games and craft area for you to get stuck in and try something new!
