The workshops will be focusing on how to utilise an opportunity with to work with industry, how to engage with industry and how to effectively communicate with industry partners. These workshops are open to technicians who fit within the BBSRC remit, and who are interested in furthering their relationship with industry or want start a new one. These workshops are free to attend and have been funded by the Impact Development team.

- What to say to generate interest – impactful introductions
In this workshop we will look at how you can use effective communications to generate interest and connect with potential partners. We will start by considering ‘industry mindset’ and communication platforms and norms. The second half of the workshop will explore what to say to engage potential partners and collaborators; we will introduce a versatile communications framework that ensures impactful introductions and that you can communicate your value effectively.
This is offered as part of a BBSRC funded initiative (Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), aimed at stimulating and fostering relationships between Technical Staff, Researcher Staff and Industry. The Impact Development Team have arranged for three 2 hour ‘Working with Industry for Technical Specialists’ Masterclass to be delivered online (via Zoom) by specialist provider Skillfluence.
