The impact of participation bias in the UK Biobank on genetic associations and downstream analyses

Tabea is currently a Wellcome Trust funded research fellow in the Statistical Genetics Groups at Lausanne University (PI: Zoltan Kutalik). Her interests are in genetic and environmental risk factors that contribute to mental health and behavioural outcomes, addictive behaviours in particular. She is also interested in exploring the impact of different biases that exist when using biobank-scale data, such as participation bias. To study those questions, she employs genetically informed causal inference methods (e.g., Mendelian Randomization)
