Title: “Adiposity and its subtypes in relation to cancer and cardiometabolic multimorbidity”
Bio: Scientist and Team Leader, Nutrition and Metabolism Branch, International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon, France. Major research interests are centered on understanding the role of diet, nutrition, and metabolic health, and their interplay with genetic susceptibility in the aetiology of cancer, and intermediate outcomes such as weight gain and obesity. A recent focus in research is how lifestyle exposures and obesity interact with cardiometabolic diseases, i.e., diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, on cancer risk and cancer survival.
