Hosted by the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC)
CAPC researchers, Dr Yvette Pyne and Dr Jo Burgin will be joined by Zahra Kosar, Mental Health Co-ordinator at the Bristol Somali Resource Centre and Dr Julie Clayton, CAPC Patient and Public Involvement Lead at CAPC, to share experiences of engaging underserved communities on the topic of the menopause.
Zahra Kosar will discuss how it all started with an invitation to researchers Yvette Pyne and Jo Burgin to meet a coffee morning group based in Barton Hill, Bristol, and what this has meant for the local community. Yvette and Jo will illustrate how this first encounter led to wider community engagement to find out what women wish to know about menopause, co-production of new information resources, and where they hope to take this in future.
This webinar is open to anyone with an interest in the topics to be discussed and will be of particular interest to primary care commissioners, policy makers, clinicians and researchers.
