Our Maintenance Services team plays a vital role in keeping the University running safely and efficiently every day.
About us
We ensure that campus buildings are operational and compliant. This enables them to support teaching, research, and the wider student and staff experience.
From routine maintenance and minor refurbishments to urgent repairs and statutory checks, we work behind the scenes to keep things working as they should. This means that staff and students can focus on what matters most.
Our in-house team includes skilled technicians, officers, and direct labour operatives, supported by trusted external contractors.
Together, we deliver:
- a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme across all campuses
- responsive repairs and emergency call-outs
- minor works and small refurbishments
- risk management and compliance with building safety regulations
- safe, reliable building systems and infrastructure.
Requesting maintenance
Staff should contact our Maintenance Help Desk to report faults or request maintenance work. Open weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm, the help desk is supported by a 24/7 emergency response service to handle urgent issues at any time.
