Voices of Amazonia

Dr Filipe França has enabled different local, policy and academic voices and lived experiences to feed into a project looking at what research questions need answering about Amazonia.

Hydro-epidemiological modelling of Leptospira transmission

Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease that affects vulnerable populations in Brazil and is often linked to flooding events. Epidemiologists and hydrologists are developing a novel approach to prevent the disease. 

Combating tick-borne diseases in humans and animals

Dr Ian Cadby and his team are using a specialised approach to explore new ways to diagnose and prevent tick-borne diseases.
