nCounter SPRINT Profiler

The Bristol Genomics Facility offers Bruker Spatial Biology's nCounter technology for gene expression and copy number analysis.

Count nucleic acids directly

The nCounter SPRINT Profiler can detect RNA and DNA in a variety of sample types, including tissue, which can be fresh, frozen, or preserved (FFPE). Nucleic acid targets are directly labelled with single target-specific color-coded probes without the need for reverse transcription or amplification. The probe set (up to 800 targets) can be pre-designed or custom-made, with the help of Bruker Spatial Biology's design service.

Well-suited for difficult samples

Another key benefit of using the nCounter technology is the low input requirements of the system: 1-5 ng RNA and 5-300 ng DNA. The technology supports sample types such as total RNA, cell lysates, and FFPE-derived total RNA.

Data analysis

Data from the nCounter SPRINT Profiler can be directly imported into the freely available analysis software. Alternatively, contact us to enquire about bioinformatics support.
