The Student Teaching Awards are our annual awards celebrating the very best in teaching, support, and student experience. Students do the nominating, and winners are celebrated at an awards event in May hosted in the Anson Rooms. Staff who are recognised at the awards can see how much their support has helped you and it shows the quality of teaching or support they are providing.

Whether you’re a student studying an undergraduate course, a taught postgraduate programme, or a postgraduate research degree, nominate someone in the Student Teaching Awards.
- Maybe a personal tutor who has helped you develop academic and wider personal skills?
- Someone who inspires your creativity and motivation to learn? Or takes time for you to share ideas and takes on feedback?
- A supportive team or individual who always gives out high quality advice?
- Or a dissertation or doctoral supervisor who has supported you to grow as a researcher, by sparking your curiosity?

- Championing Student Voices AwardAn award for individuals or teams who champion student academic voices.
- Helping Hand AwardAn award for individuals in professional services or technical team. Non-teaching staff only e.g. Careers Service or Student Health Service.
- Helping Hands Team AwardAn award for professional services or technical teams – non-teaching staff teams only e.g. Careers Service or Student Health Service.
- Inspiring and Engaging Teaching AwardAn award for individual academics, lab technician, or postgraduate research students who teach.
- Inspirational PhD Supervisor AwardAn award for individual academics who provide postgraduate research supervision.
- Personal Tutor of the Year AwardAn award for individual academics who provide personal tutoring.
- Supportive Dissertation Supervisor AwardAn award for individual academics who provide dissertation support to undergraduate or postgraduate taught students.
