Federica Coluzzi (Leverhulme Early Career Fellow, University of Warwick) and Francesca Sartori (PhD candidate, University of Bristol), Presenting the Modern Beatrices Archive

The Modern Beatrices Archive, developed by Federica Coluzzi, documents the lives of 228 women writers active in Italy, Britain, Ireland and US through detailed bilingual biographies and rich metadata, aiming to "draw women out of obscurity" and illuminate their interconnectedness and their contributions to the understanding and dissemination of Dante's work. It captures key information for 367 works published between 1770 and 1921, enriching them with multimedia storytelling and innovative contextualization. This presentation will introduce the archive and some of the opportunities it offers for new research and data-led methodologies.
