I'm very pleased to announce that award-winning Nigerian director Daniel Oriahi will be visiting the Department of Film and Television on October 14 and 15. Based in Ghana, Oriahi will be in the UK to premiere his latest film The Weekend at the BFI London Film Festival: "In this taut thriller, when a young woman is introduced to her fiancé’s family, an unsettling revelation hints at a darker truth." The film already appeared in the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and has racked up AMAA nominations in 16 categories. Have a glance at the trailer here.
