Applying evolutionary anthropology to women’s health in Ethiopia

How can evolutionary theory be applied to sustainable development challenges? I review how long-term fieldwork, local partnerships, and evolutionary approaches can combine to address two key population-health questions in Ethiopia:

  1. Can we make rural development interventions more sustainable?
  2. Can we understand and change FGM/C behaviours?

The lecture will be followed by a Drinks Reception from 7.15pm to 8.00pm
