150th Celebration: Hong Kong Alumni Walk

Alumni around the world are joining the festivities as we mark 150 years since University College, Bristol opened its doors. Join the University of Bristol Hong Kong Alumni Association for the 2026 Alumni Walk: Uncovering the Secrets of Devil's Peak.

Date: Saturday, 10th October
Meet-up: 1 pm at Tiu Keng Leng MTR Station
Route: around 4.1 km, ending at Yau Tong MTR Station.

Ready to swap the city bustle for a bit of time travel? The walk will explore Devil’s Peak, a coastal stronghold steeped in centuries of history. From its days as a 16th-century pirate lair to its crucial role as a British military garrison defending the Victoria Harbour passes, this trail is packed with fascinating heritage.

It will take in the rugged ruins of the Gough Battery and the panoramic Devil's Peak Redoubt, taking in spectacular, sweeping views over Kowloon and Hong Kong Island along the way.

Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to celebrate with fellow alumni over a well-deserved seafood dinner at Lei Yu Mun.

Please note that this route can be physically demanding. It involves uphill climbing, including a few steep, non-concrete stairs, and a road crossing. Please make sure you're comfortable with a brisk uphill trek.
