The Power of Global University Collaboration
University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) Silicon Valley Campus, 3175 Bowers Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95054
Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the international research partnership between the University of Bristol and the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), at UCSC’s Silicon Valley campus.
Guests will have the opportunity to connect and catch up over drinks and canapés with Bristol and UCSC alumni based on the West Coast, as well as academic and faculty staff from both universities.
The evening will feature talks by Professor Esther Dermott, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of Arts, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Bristol, and P.K. Agarwal, Dean of Extension at UCSC. Together they will share how our two universities are collaborating and harnessing the power of global research to deliver transformative societal impact in fields as diverse as AI, climate policy, and social justice.
We will also hear from Dr Sam Okyere and Professor Jessica Taft, of the University of Bristol and UCSC respectively, whose work together is shaping how researchers and policymakers think about human and child rights, precarious labour and migration.
Don’t miss your chance to catch up on news from Bristol, while building your Bristol-Bay Area personal and professional network!
